Dadeldhura- 60-year-old Karanraj Pandey of Dadeldhura has been arrested. He was taken into custody by the police along with 700 grams of hashish.
Pandey was arrested from Khanmada, Amargadhi municipality-8. Deputy Superintendent of Police Manohar Prasad Bhatt informed that the police team of District Police Office arrested Pandey on Saturday evening according to a secret information that Pandey was doing his retail drug hashish business.
Pandey was made public by the District Police Office on Tuesday by organizing an arrest conference. DSP Bhatt said that 700 grams of drug paraphernalia, which looks like hashish, was found hidden in the house.
According to him, Pandey has been detained and is being investigated according to law. DSP Bhatt informed that according to the Narcotics (Control) Act, 2033, there is a legal provision of imprisonment from 6 months to 2 years and a fine of 2,000 to 10,000 rupees for possession of 500 grams to 2 kilograms.
